1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using StoriVault ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

StoriVault is an AI-powered storytelling platform that transforms user-provided information, memories, and milestones into personalized written narratives, illustrated books, and related content ("Books"). The Service uses artificial intelligence systems, including large language models and image generation technologies, to assist users in creating memoir-style stories and other narrative content.

The Service is designed to help users preserve personal memories, life stories, and family histories in a readable and engaging format.

3. User Accounts

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use StoriVault. If you are under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf.

You agree to notify StoriVault immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or security breach.

4. User-Provided Content

You retain ownership of all personal information, memories, and other materials you submit to StoriVault ("User Content").

By submitting User Content, you grant StoriVault a limited, non-exclusive license to process and use that information solely for the purpose of generating your Books and providing the Service.

You represent and warrant that:

• •You have the right to submit the information you provide.
• •If you submit information about another individual, you have permission to do so.

StoriVault does not sell personal stories or User Content, and we will not use identifiable personal stories to train AI models without your explicit consent.

5. AI-Generated Content, Accuracy, and Word Count

Books generated by StoriVault are produced with the assistance of artificial intelligence and are creative interpretations of the information provided by users.

StoriVault aims to generate each story as accurately and faithfully as possible using the information supplied by the user or by any individual providing information on behalf of the subject of the story. However, the accuracy, completeness, and authenticity of the final content depend entirely on the information provided.

Users are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before sharing, publishing, or distributing it.

While StoriVault strives to generate a final book that aligns with the selected word count range chosen by the user, the exact length of the completed book may vary. In some cases, the final manuscript may be shorter than the selected word count range.

StoriVault will make reasonable efforts to produce a book that is as close as possible to the requested word count, but cannot guarantee that the final output will always meet the exact word count target.

In certain circumstances, StoriVault may prioritize narrative quality, readability, and storytelling clarity over strictly meeting the selected word count. This may result in a final book that contains fewer words than originally requested.

Our goal is to provide a coherent, engaging, and rewarding reading experience that reflects the spirit of the information provided by the user.

6. Intellectual Property and Ownership of Generated Books

Users retain ownership of the personal stories and User Content they submit to the StoriVault platform.

Subject to compliance with these Terms, StoriVault grants users a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download, view, and use the Books generated for them.

Users may:

• •Share their Books
• •Print their Books
• •Preserve their Books for personal use

Unless otherwise permitted through specific platform features (such as Commercial Publishing Mode), Books generated through the Service are intended for personal, non-commercial use.

For users who utilize Commercial Publishing Mode, you acknowledge that AI-generated content may have limitations under applicable copyright law, and you accept responsibility for ensuring compliance with any relevant laws or regulations in your jurisdiction.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use StoriVault to:

• •Submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, abusive, or offensive.
• •Impersonate any person or entity or submit false information about others without their consent.
• •Generate content involving minors in inappropriate or harmful contexts.
• •Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or exploit the Service or its underlying AI systems.
• •Use the Service for any commercial purpose without an appropriate subscription plan.

StoriVault reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

8. Privacy

Your use of StoriVault is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

We collect and process personal data as described in the Privacy Policy, including information you provide when creating your Book.

StoriVault does not sell personal data to third parties.

9. Use of Content to Improve the Service

In order to maintain and improve the performance of the StoriVault platform, StoriVault may analyze aggregated and anonymized usage data generated through the platform.

This may include:

• •interaction patterns
• •general content structure
• •feature usage trends

StoriVault will not intentionally use identifiable personal stories for public display, marketing, or external distribution without the user's explicit permission.

Any use of platform data for system improvement will be conducted in a manner designed to protect user privacy and confidentiality.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

StoriVault does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

AI-generated content is intended for storytelling and personal reflection purposes and should not be relied upon as professional advice of any kind, including medical, legal, or financial advice.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StoriVault and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data or content.

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to StoriVault in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

We will notify users of material changes by posting updated Terms on the Service or by email.

Your continued use of the Service after such changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts located in Delaware.
