How to Test

Because social platforms cache OG data aggressively, here's the proper way to verify your tags are working.

1

Publish the app

OG tags only work on the published domain. In the Base44 builder, click Publish so your latest index.html changes go live.

2

Use Facebook's Sharing Debugger

Go to Facebook's official tool and paste your published StoriVault URL. It shows exactly what Facebook sees and lets you force a re-scrape.

Open Facebook Sharing Debugger
3

Click "Scrape Again" if needed

Facebook caches OG data for ~30 days. After publishing changes, paste your URL, click Debug, then click Scrape Again to pull fresh tags. The tool shows you the exact og:title, og:description, and og:image it found.

4

Verify with Twitter Card Validator

X's card validator confirms your twitter:card tags render correctly.

Open Twitter Card Validator
5

Do a real test post

Create a private/draft post on Facebook with your published URL. The card should render with the StoriVault title, description, and branded image — exactly as shown in the mockups above.

Note: The OG image is cached by each platform after first scrape. If you change the image later, you'll need to re-scrape via the Facebook Debugger and wait up to 24 hours for Twitter to refresh.
